Pierce has prioritized its Downtown Revitalization, something that’s occurring through the completed Brown Street Project and DTR grant for improving building facades. New businesses are opening to be a part of the transformation. In the past 5 years, 15 new businesses have opened their doors.
In addition, Pierce is getting more housing development. A new housing subdivision featuring 15 lots are being built. An additional 6-unit duplex project has been completed, and the community is fundraising for a splash pad. A pickleball court has been built to support development with additional park resources.
Pierce also has a strong school system, targeted attraction campaign, an active main street and Chamber organization. The community’s population has grown over the past decade as people move back home and others relocate. Visit Pierce’s website for more information.
